IAPs Not Needed

This game is a great twist on the lane defense genre, with the addition of cards and mathematics. And dont listen to that review complaining about the IAPs, he clearly has no idea what hes talking about. Ive had this game for months and the IAP is not required at all, and the club he refers to: its a one time fee of $2, and it simply awards you an extra card per victory. So instead of getting 2 cards, you get 3. Thats it. The rest if of the IAPs are for extra cards, which actually are over-powered and not required or recommended. Unless you simply want to add replay value, or make the game much easier.

Still great, but a frustrating bug

I wrote a review just a month or so ago, and Im delighted to see the new update. Interface is sharp as hell, stardog is a welcome addition to the cast, and I cant believe the gameplays still addicting after a few weeks away from it. Unfortunately Ive discovered a major bug. Attempting to use the "Mutate Invader" card against AI opponents now crashes the game. Very frustrating considering I main a mutate deck. I hope I can bring this situational and easily missed bug to light.

Absolutely fantastic!

This game is so much fun! I love the card collecting mechanic, and the simple math is a good exercise for my brain. The game is challenging, but not overly so, and if you hit a wall, just go back, fight some more enemies, and collect some more cards. You dont need to buy any IAP to progress. The cards you can buy look quite powerful, but you can get through the game with the cards that you win by fighting bosses. I love it!

Love it!!!

Great game! Been following Seanbaby for a long time....and it doesnt get much more Seanbabyesk than this.

A well-produced, clever, and enjoyable game!

This game caught me by surprise! Its very well written, and has great gameplay mechanics. The math mechanic adds a surprisingly complex depth to gameplay. Each battle feels different, and its a great way to spend five minutes or half an hour! Best of all you dont need to buy anything, although I bought the fun club pack to support the developer. But its not necessary to enjoy the game! Overall one of my favorite apps from the app store.

Usable, but does not fit

Great game, but the screen is too zoomed in on the iPad Air. Really frustrating

Excellent game and excellent developers!

I enjoy the challenge and cheesy sci-fi humor in Calculords. My seven year old and I play together. I also love that, just three days iOS8 came out and a screen-stretching bug was found, there was a patch ready to go. Those three days include the weekend, folks!

Fresh, fun game.

Fun game with a very fresh concept. Does bog down a little at times with the calculating and the actual combat itself is a bit of a sideshow compared to the number crunching to generate units (which is the most fun part).

Best time killer Ive found

This game has killed more of my battery life in doctors offices, lunch breaks, and childrens recitals than any other app I have. iOS 8s usage upgrades confirmed it. Cant recommend this game enough!!!

Awesome

Great game. Lots of time wasting potential.

Funny and challenging!

Great art and design, and hilarious bosses! Always fun to see what will be unlocked next

This needs to be a lot more popular than it is.

A clever calculator mechanic, crisp pixel graphics, surprising tactical depth, tounge-in-cheek humor, and a massive amount of collectible cards makes this one brightest, original, and most awesome games you can cram into your bright little pocket rectangle! Get it

Crash prone

Love the game but it crashes way too much.

Fun math, great writing

If you enjoy CCGs and doing arithmetic, then youll enjoy this. Pocket Tactics have a good review of the game which spurred me to check it out and I wasnt disappointed. Engrossing and much of the opponent dialogue had me chuckling.

How is this game not more popular?!?

I downloaded this game when it first came out, but havent played it until today. Big mistake! This game is not only fun, its addictive, easy to learn, and tough to master. I will be recommending this to everybody I know who enjoys this type of game. Amazing work!

Smart game with a delightfully goofy premise

I adore this game. Great strategy, tons of different quips from the bosses, and simple and effective eight-bit style combine into an impressive collectable card game. Would recommend this especially for any youth struggling to manipulate numbers, although not for the very young--middle school and up? Heres hoping for another great idea soon from ninja-crime. Ive put hours into playing this app.

Fun, original game

I picked it up because Im a fan of Seanbaby, but even if Id never heard of him, Id like this game. The premise is simple in both concept and execution (use the numbers available to play cards of matching value), yet it quickly becomes more complex as you acquire stronger cards with different abilities. Its addictive.

Outstanding. Leaves me wanting more though.

I got this game last week and I already beat it. Having only 7 bosses to play against kind of stinks. It wouldnt be bad if I could increase the difficulty or if there was multiplayer, but I dont really see a reason to continue playing it...maybe for medals? The only way to get more out of the game is to challenge myself with my own unique ideas. Id rather there be a longer campaign. Anyway if you like math, card games, and a "Nexus Wars" style push game, then this is for you. Also I am a complete sucker for pixel graphics, great design, I just dont know the point of making new decks and collecting new cards if I know I will win vs the A.I. 95% of the time.

Perfect Pooper Game

This game not only increased my brain function and cognitive resilience, it also increased my average poop session from five minutes to twenty minutes. This is a good thing (unless you are trying to avoid hemroids). My mathiness has increased to +7, with an additional +3 to all saving throws.

Brilliant

Excellent mix of strategy, deck building, and some fun mathematical planning.
